Teachers ought to be the only source of lesson plans and the syllabus. Government for too long has kept influencing the requirements schools need to cover. Teachers know their kids. Government from the Education department in DC is not the right solution in keeping our children competitive in this global economy. School curriculum needs to be established by local school districts with a balance only for testing that compares kids at a national level. Education, if abandoned will result in an ignorant populace easily deceived by the wickedness of despots.
